Today’s DIY Mantra: Find ANYTHING in this graphic that you can relate to and ACT on it.
Action precipitates change. You must ACT on new ways of thinking, new ways of doing and new ways of living in order to see the benefits.
If ‘friends are more important than money’, how will you ACT on that so it is true of your life? How can you treat your friends in a way that communicates that message to them? A random phone call, a compliment, the gift of your time?
If ‘jealousy works the opposite way you want it to’ what can you do to make a change in your jealous behavior? Biting your tongue, being more patient, or reminding yourself that jealousy doesn’t help you in the long run?
If ‘your outlook on life is a direct reflection of how much you like yourself’, how can you change how you feel about yourself TODAY that can help that outlook be more positive? A run? A facial? Painting your toenails? Volunteering?
Action precipitates change. It’s not the message that matters, it’s how you use it.

Actually, I was a geek in High School too…

Because classmates would always try to treat off me then too. They would get mad when I didn’t let them. No buddy, I will not get screwed this time so you can get a better grade than me.

There was this one time when I was in the 1oth grade,  in science class, my teacher Mr. P (I’m not going to put his whole name out there) was letting us cheat. Well that’s what we assumed since he kept walking out of the class while we were taking the test. He was making it too easy and I don’t mean stepping out for a second to talk to the substitute down the hall, I mean he would walk out for a good 10-15 minutes. But guess what, I was the one to get caught. That asshole punked me into buying him chips because he knew I didn’t want to get in trouble.

I was a geek when I was in middle school.

I let this girl who I really disliked copy off my paper because I was too much of coward to tell her no. I didn’t want her to “get the wrong impression of me”, I wanted to seem cool. I’m irritated about this because my teacher, who gravitated to the bad-asses, came around and checked our papers, told her she did good and told me I needed to work on mine. What a bunch of malarkey!! That little hoe in training copied off of my paper, why do I need to work on mine. Or maybe my teacher knew what happened and was trying to teach me a lesson.
